Invite to 'Custom/Practice' Classical Acting Showcase and Diversity Symposium

Following an intensive training programme created by Custom/Practice in collaboration with Talawa Theatre Company and the Royal Shakespeare Company REAP Project and funded by Arts Council England, 10 Black or Asian actors looking to break into the world of classical performance will showcase short scenes from texts ranging from Shakespeare to Shaw in response to the question ‘What Is British Theatre?’.

This sharing will be followed by a panel discussion on the future of Black and Minority Ethnic work in the UK, this will be chaired by Purni Morrell, Head of the National Theatre Studio and Jatinder Verma, Artistic Director of Tara Arts with a selection of leading practitioners.

If you would like to attend, please RSVP to custompractice@gmail.com. We hope you will join us for a lively and provocative afternoon, which will offer new insights and connections for all industry professionals seeking to address diversity issues in their own theatre practice.
