Director Spread the Word

Do you have a passion for writers and creative writing?

Spread the Word is seeking a strategic and inspirational new Director. S/he will combine artistic vision with sound organisational skills and will lead the team in consolidating the company’s position as London’s leading writer development agency. This is a hands on role, leading a small organisation to make a big impact.

Spread the Word is London’s leading development agency for creative writing, working with writers of differing levels and across form.

We identify, nurture and promote writing talent with a strong focus on fostering writers from diverse backgrounds and those with less access to high quality provision.

We connect writers with the wider literature scene and with each other, provide links to the worlds of publishing and performance, and offer a sustained relationship to talented writers for the development of their careers.

The board is seeking an ambitious new Director to develop and shape Spread the Word’s activities and manage all aspects of the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of working with writers to realise and nurture talent. They will demonstrate the ability to lead, inspire and motivate, will have a commitment to developing audiences and will have strong management and organisational skills. As part of a significant reorganisation, this role will give a creative, innovative person the scope to make a real impact, shaping and developing Spread the Word in new and exciting ways.

Please find attached the Job Pack and Application form. I would be grateful if you could forward this onto those you think maybe interested.
